A Magical Spring!

Ladybugs are a sure sign of Spring around here!

Ladybugs in the CK garden

Last week at Camelot Kids our Big Dragons released ladybugs into our garden to help it grow!

FUN FACT: "Benefits. Ladybugs, or lady beetles, are considered a beneficial bug which helps rid an area of crop-damaging aphids, mealybugs and other destructive insect pests. The adult ladybugs feed on these insects. They also lay their eggs among the aphids or other prey so the emerging larvae can feed on the insects, too."

As you can imagine, and you may have heard at home already, the kids love to feel the tickle as ladybugs crawl on their hands + arms. We teach them about the benefits to our garden and how to protect our little friends.

“A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them. ” Liberty Hyde Bailey
