Pivot, Prep + Patience during CA State Closures

Here we are, entering week two of Camelot Kids online learning! In challenging times we learn what we are made of and Camelot Kids staff, students, and parents have proven to be exactly the kind of community we believe in whole-heartedly.

It's been a joy, in spite of extenuating circumstances, to see children engage in the

E-Learning option that we rallied to provide within a 24 hour window last week.

We are thrilled to help "ALL OUR DRAGONS", big and little, continue to learn and stay connected with all of their friends at Camelot during the statewide ban to "stay inside" in compliance with Los Angeles School District School closures as a result of COVID-19. Rest assured we are staying up-to-date with the latest news and will keep parents informed as we know more.

In the event that you are finding it hard to explain Coronavirus to your child, this handy child-friendly PDF should help!

Let's put our hands together for the incredible staff members that worked around the clock to get our E-Community set up in under two days, allowing students and parents to stay connected coming to Camelot each day and some working remotely. while being home bound. Hip Hip Hooray!

We will aim to maintain the utmost care each day as we proceed through this time, continue to learn about Coronavirus, and understand its impact. We acknowledge that this is a tough time for families and want you to know we are here for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out for support.

Until then, here are a few reminders as we head into week two of E-Learning at Camelot Kids.

It can be pretty fun at first for children to learn to do school work from home, at the same time it may become challenging as time goes on. Here are a few reminders that can help:

  • Take regular breaks

  • Make time for movement + exercise

  • Keep to a regular sleep schedule as much as possible

  • Limit distractions when possible

  • Set daily and weekly goals

  • Make time to socialize, even if it’s virtually

See you online! CAMELOT = COMMUNITY #LONGLIVECAMELOT

Be well and stay well!
